what’s spinning: Bob Mould
Every year between Thanksgiving and Christmas I am barely able to leave my workbench and that means I listen to a ton of music. It's a great time to pan the archives for a forgotten gem and today's shiny pick is Bob Mould's classic and one of my all-time favorites, Workbook. This album, his first after leaving the iconic Husker Du, is one of those rare albums that I remember exactly when and where I was when I gave it a first listen. Mr. Mould also has the has the distinction of playing the three loudest concerts that I've ever attended. If you're looking from a flawless jewel from the past, try Workbook.
