Trunkt Portfolio

Check out our cool circle portfolio on Trunkt, the premiere directory of artist entrepreneurs. And do a little browsing...there is much to see. A little word of warning, if you're in a hurry skip this one, it's a major time-eater.

someecards

If you need a little procrastination assistance today, try someecards...hee-larious.

A word of caution...it is a little twisted and, if you're anything like me,
a serious time eater.

procrastination assistance: space

image

If you need a little work diversion today, check out the amazing photography from Wandering Space. I find these images to be very inspiring, like this from the Saturn series. Watch for some planetary themed jewelry to come.

hip science

image

I'm currently consumed by New York Public Radio's thoroughly intriguing science program, Radio Lab. I've lately spent much too much time staring blindly at the wall above my workbench listening, pondering, calculating, laughing and...oh yea, remembering that I'm supposed to be working here.
The topics are fascinating, with discussions on sleep, space, morality, and time (to name a few) and the production is very well done...not your stodgy science show to be sure. And look at that logo...it just has to be cool!

Listen to a full episode here.

procrastination assistance: The Merlin Show

image

If you are a fan of 5ives (one of my favorite time-eaters) then you'll love
The Merlin Show...interesting interviews in bite-sized portions.
My favorite is this four part series with John Roderick of The Long Winters,
whoever knew that the writer of the beautifully heartfelt and poignant song Ultimatum was so damn funny.

Summer Camp

image

I'm a huge fan of Chicago Public Radio's "This American Life"
and am often listening while working at my bench...
as I am this morning.
This Notes on Camp episode is hilarious.
give it a listen here.

Friday procrastination assistance: Movie Minutes

image

If you are a free-timeless film lover (like me) who doesn't wish to blow two hours on a movie that blows, try browsing the New York Times Movie Minutes section. They've a collection of video mini-reviews by film critic A.O. Scott whose reviews are iron-clad, brief, insightful and filmed right in the middle of the New York Times news room.
Best of all, he spares you the films that you already know would be a waste of time.

Friday procrastination assistance

If you need a little break from your mind-numbing workday
(and don't Friday afternoons seem to never end),
then check out The New Yorker's humor page.
I especially enjoy the Cartoon Caption Contest
where you can write your own caption to a New Yorker cartoon.

I mean come on, it's not like your actually getting any work done anyway.
