Saturday, October 27, 2007what’s spinning: KEXP 90.3![]() For the last week I've been updating our brand new Trunkt portfolio and listening to hours of Seattle's alternative public radio station, KEXP. Check out the KEXP website where you can listen to their live program stream, delve into their in-studio performance archives, or listen to a past favorite DJ's show (the DJ's actually pick their own playlists, believe it or not)...very cool. Email-in your request and give it a listen. posted by: chris on 10/27 at 04:33 AM permalink category: music/what's spinning Tuesday, October 16, 2007Trunkt![]() I'm excited to announce circle's inclusion on the very exclusive online magazineTrunkt, whose creators "celebrate independent photographers, painters, illustrators, graphic designers, jewelry designers, textile designers, and handbag designers." I'm honored to be included in a magazine whose mission "is to champion wildly-talented artists and to keep mass-produced merchandise and big-box retailers from overwhelming our world." Visit the Trunkt website to see their vast collection of amazing independent wares and link to the artists' individual sites to place an order. And don't forget to check out the circle portfolio while you're browsing about. posted by: chris on 10/16 at 03:15 AM permalink category: blogs & sites of interest category: circle news Sunday, October 07, 2007Winter…already?![]() The winter 2007 collection is finally complete and the fall/winter 2007 catalog is now available. It just occurred to me this morning that I've listened to Luna's debut album Lunapark in its entirety about 100 times in the last few days and I still can't bring myself to take it out of the current studio rotation. Luna is one of the bands that I loved from the beginning and have always gone back to over the years, but was never fortunate enough to see play live. If you're interested, you cannot go wrong with any of their albums, but I still love this debut and their masterpiece follow-up Bewitched the best. posted by: chris on 10/06 at 04:59 AM permalink category: music/what's spinning Tuesday, October 02, 2007rich yellow gold![]() I love the look of deep, rich fourteen karat yellow gold so I've added a number new of gold pieces to our ring collection. Of course, any piece we offer in sterling silver can also be ordered in yellow gold, even if not shown that way in our online catalog. If you see a piece that you love, but you would prefer the same piece in a different metal (we work with platinum, sterling silver, and any karat and color of gold), just email us the item number and we will provide the appropriate pricing information. posted by: chris on 10/02 at 03:27 AM permalink category: circle news Monday, October 01, 2007the art of Ken Peterson![]() I've recently discovered the the wonderful work of Ken Peterson whose studio, as it turns out, is about six blocks away from my own...small world. If you live in Sioux City, you can view one of his bronze pieces on the downtown sculpture walk. Otherwise I recommend you visit his website to see examples of his interesting bronze and wood work that is specifically designed to "provoke social engagement and activity." posted by: chris on 10/01 at 03:25 AM permalink category: designers & artists |
