what’s spinning: KEXP 90.3

For the last week I've been updating our brand new Trunkt portfolio and listening to hours of Seattle's alternative public radio station, KEXP. Winter…already?

what’s spinning: Luna

I'm just finishing up a few new pieces which are to be included to the upcoming winter collection, so I've been glued to the workbench for the last couple of weeks. It just occurred to me this morning that I've listened to Luna's debut album Lunapark in its entirety about 100 times in the last few days and I still can't bring myself to take it out of the current studio rotation. Luna is one of the bands that I loved from the beginning and have always gone back to over the years, but was never fortunate enough to see play live. If you're interested, you cannot go wrong with any of their albums, but I still love this debut and their masterpiece follow-up Bewitched the best.

the art of Ken Peterson

I've recently discovered the the wonderful work of Ken Peterson whose studio, as it turns out, is about six blocks away from my own...small world. If you live in Sioux City, you can view one of his bronze pieces on the downtown sculpture walk. Otherwise I recommend you visit his website to see examples of his interesting bronze and wood work that is specifically designed to "provoke social engagement and activity."
